AURORA – Residents are invited to the annual Medicare workshops hosted by State Senator Karina Villa with the Illinois Department on Aging to learn about the different coverage plans offered and the enrollment process.
“Medicare workshops are essential in ensuring that our seniors are informed about their health care coverage and feel confident when enrolling,” said Villa (D-West Chicago). “I strongly encourage residents who qualify for Medicare to attend.”
Villa will host two Medicaid Workshops – one in English and one in Spanish.
The Medicaid workshop provided in Spanish is in collaboration with the offices of Congresswoman Delia Ramirez and State Representative Maura Hirschauer. The workshop will be held on Monday, Oct. 16 from 4:30-7 p.m. at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, located at 155 N. Prince Crossing Rd. in West Chicago.
The English workshop is in partnership with Congresswoman Lauren Underwood and will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 17 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the APS Tower, located at 105 E. Galena Blvd., 8th Floor in Aurora. Coffee and pastries for attendees will be provided.
The events will simplify and inform individuals about the Medicare process and will not be used to sell any plans. The focus of the events will be on enrollment and the different types of offered coverage.

WEST CHICAGO – Los residentes están invitados a los talleres anuales de Medicare alojados por la Senadora Estatal Karina Villa con el Departamento de Envejecimiento de Illinois para aprender sobre los diferentes planes de cobertura que ofrece Medicare y también recibirán información sobre el proceso de inscripción.
“Los talleres sobre Medicare son esenciales para asegurar que las personas mayores están informadas sobre su cobertura médica y se sientan seguros al inscribirse,” digo Villa (D-West Chicago). “Recomiendo fuertemente a los residentes que califican para Medicare a asistir un taller.”
Villa será la anfitriona de dos talleres- uno en inglés y uno en español.
El taller de Medicare en español es en colaboración con las oficinas de la congresista Delia Ramírez y la representante estatal Maura Hirschauer. El taller será el lunes, oct. 16 de 4:30-7 pm. en la Iglesia Luterana de St. Andrew en 155 N. Prince Crossing Rd. en West Chicago.
El taller de Medicare en inglés es en asociación con la congresista Lauren Underwood y tomará lugar el martes, oct. 17 de 9:30 am. a 12:30 pm. en la torre APS, localizada en 105 E. Galena Blvd., Octavo Piso en Aurora. Café y postres serán entregados a personas en atendencia.
Estos talleres simplificarán e informarán las personas sobre el proceso de Medicare y no serán utilizados para vender ningún plan. La información otorgada será sobre la inscripción a Medicare y los diferentes tipos de cobertura.
